Custodian, Shetland Crofthouse Museum

We have an exciting opportunity for a pro-active individual to join our team to manage day to day operations at the Shetland Crofthouse Museum, providing an outstanding customer welcome and visitor experience.  The Custodian will engage visitors with the 19th Century farmstead and thatched buildings and the life of the people who used to live there.  The Custodian will be expected to welcome visitors, manage bookings, ensure staff, visitors and the facility are safe and secure, and ensure that the venue is presented to the highest standards. The duties are varied and the post-holder will be expected to assist in many aspects of running the service and facility.

Visitor Experience Assistant, Sumburgh Head Lighthouse and Nature Reserve

Join our team at the stunning Sumburgh Head Lighthouse, Visitor Centre and Nature Reserve this season.  We are looking for someone who can provide an outstanding visitor experience, providing excellent customer service and helping us engage visitors with the history of the lighthouse and the natural environment.  You will provide a welcome to visitors, ensure they are safe and that the venue is presented to the highest standards. The duties are varied, and the post-holder will be expected to assist in many aspects of running the service.
