Sheeksin - Geopark Shetland
Shetland Museum and Archives' monthly sheeksin session for March looks at Geopark Shetland. 3 billion years in the palm of your hand...
Shetland has been on an incredible 3 billion year geological journey, during which it played host to tropical seas, volcanoes, deserts, mountains, ice ages and ancient rivers! Traces of those lost environments can be found in today's rocks and landscapes. You can discover where to look and what to look out for with the free Geopark Shetland app for iPhone and Android. Come along and find out how from Geology Project Officer, Robina Barton.
