Dry Stone Dyking Dry Stone DykingZoomShetland Amenity Trust are seeking expressions of interest from anyone who would like to attend a training course covering the principles and basic skills of Dry Stone Dyking.

The one day course will be run on 18th May 2013 by local expert Stonemason, Robbie Arthur.  Robbie has many years of experience and knows all their is to know about the craft.  Exact details of the training wil be confirmed once participant numbers and experience has been established.  The course is likely to cost around £20-£30 per person.

The training will take place at Sumburgh Head, which is currently undergoing extensive redevelopment and restoration. The course will be offered as part of this project, to involve members of the community and provide skills training in the techniques used on-site.
